Nia and Self-Healing Series
Coming in December and January, "Sensational You!" a Nia and 5 Stages combo class that teaches you about the practice of becoming aware and sense-ful! Join us every Monday at 5:30pm at Studio Sway.
In this class you’ll discover the Nia 5 Stages, exploring functional anatomy and how Nia 5 Stages and Classic Nia routines compliment one another. We’ll play with Nia 5 Stages from head to toe! Each class stands on its own as a lesson so no previous experience is necessary. Give yourself the gift of movement.

Debbie on "What is Nia?"
Erin is "Black"!
In December 2010, I entered into a new phase of my practice and profession with The Nia Technique having successfully completing my Black Belt Intensive and Training. I feel very embryonic, as if I have so much to learn and re-learn and practices to explore. I thank everyone and every body that has supported me in this journey and supports me in my continued journey into that which inspires me and creates magic in my life! Come dance with me as I step into this new, yet familiar river.

About
The Nia Technique simultaneously addresses the body, mind, emotions, and spirit, and puts them on the “same page” using music, movement and personal expression to integrate one’s neurology (including the mind, emotions, and spirit) with one’s outer body, or musculature. To achieve this whole-being integration, Nia addresses the whole person using a comprehensive, holistic exercise approach designed with a combination of nine classic movement forms.
Benefits of Practicing Nia:
- Stimulates pleasure of living in the body
- Supports weight loss
- Increases energy, strength, flexibility, mobility and agility
- Improves circulation and heart health
- Develops grace, power and muscle tone
- Improves posture, balance and stability
