Period. The End: Celebration and Ceremony

Join me for this and a few other events prior to my medical sabbatical. My hysterectomy surgery is scheduled for September 22nd. I’ll be out for 6-10 weeks.

Sept. 19th: Period. The End.

On Sunday, September 19th I'll hold an extended uterus going-away class from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM.

It will be followed by a short but sweet "letting go" ceremony 12:30 – 1:30 PM.

  • Ceremony attendees are invited to bring for me words or notes for my healing, letting go, protection, transition, etc. Or you may bring an object for a temporary altar. I can handle a little gallows humor too.

*Sept. 17th: World Music for the Womb: For non-Nia non-ceremony pre-op fun I'll be attending ¡Globalquerque! on Friday evening, September, 17th. Join me!

**Sept. 20th Monday AM class is canceled due to pre-op requirements for Covid testing, the window for which is during class time.

***September 21st: Season’s Finale for my last Zoom class is scheduled for the last day of summer, Tuesday, September 21st at 4:30 PM.

Retreating into Natural Time

In Nia the concept of natural time is meant to give us the opportunity to be in the present moment and to discover our own way of learning, moving and being in the world. Natural time is a powerful principle that teaches us to move at our own pace, to our own depths and in response to our individual impulses. We stay connected to natural time by remaining connected to sensation; and, that is precisely what this weekend retreat invites you to do; move at your own pace for the weekend choosing what feels right for your body.

The following are included in the cost ($149.00) of the retreat (lodging is separate):

  • Three 90-minute Nia and journaling classes (no Nia experience required!)

About Vista Verde

Vista Verde Retreat sits on 37 acres of land on the west edge of the Taos Gorge surrounded by juniper and piñon trees. There is a beautiful sprung wood dance floor for our Nia classes and lots of space to be outdoors, with two hiking trails looping through the natural surroundings, a ceremonial sand circle, an outdoor fire pit and a labyrinth. With no television or cell service you can’t help but disconnect and plug into natural time (though, if absolutely necessary a landline and WiFi are available).
